She has worked in private practice as a Christian Psychotherapist since 1987 and currently owns a private practice in Irvine, CA with her husband Bill, a Psychologist and Spiritual Director.

Kristi has spoken in many churches on marriage, family, and women’s issues from a Biblical perspective. She speaks alone, with her husband, or with her mother, Betty Southard. She has enjoyed presenting workshops and a keynote address at the International Women’s Conference on Possibility Thinking, as well as presenting seminars at a number of churches.

Kristi and her husband often minister together.  In 2007 they helped plant "Pathways Church" in Irvine and developed the church's spiritual formation and mentoring ministry.  They are published authors, recently contributing to “The Complete Book of Parenting.”

Kristi is the mother of three children and she enjoys leading weekly “Moms in Touch” prayer groups for her children's schools. She and her family attended Mariners church in Irvine for many years where she served as a speaker and mentor mom for the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) ministry.
