Walk with Jesus

By Bill Gaultiere

If you live in So Cal I hope you can join me for our Soul Shepherding retreat this Saturday morning June 4th, 9 am to 12:30 pm: “Walk with Jesus.”

We’ll be meeting at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA in the Art Gallery which is just south of the 13-story Tower of Hope.

Set aside a few hours to grow in your intimacy with Jesus as you walk to inspiring Bible statues, meditate on Scripture, and share your heart. Scripture meditation, solitude, and soul talk are three inspiring spiritual disciplines that I’ll be facilitating.

Precious moments with your Lord and Savior await you! [...]

You’re the Disciple Jesus Loves!

By Bill Gaultiere © 2011

In the darkness and torture of Good Friday’s crucifixion if we look carefully we see the light of Jesus dying so gracefully.

Jesus’ invisible source of love and life that overflowed to all, even his enemies, came from his being with the Father in the kingdom of God even as he hung on the cross. This life burst through sin, death, and hell when Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday!

I’d like to share with you another meditation from the Stations of the Cross. My message is that because of what Jesus did for us we can base [...]

Healing for the Abused

By Bill Gaultiere © 2011

Many ministry leaders and servants of Christ that we help have been abused in the past. Some were hit, yelled at, or called bad names. Others were sexually violated. Many suffered with harsh judgments from a parent.

Tragically, survivors of abuse tend to perpetuate the pain of how they were mistreated with self-condemnation or destructive behavior. They often suffer in isolation. Due to guilt and shame they hide their memories and pain from others — even their loved ones.

If you’ve been badly mistreated you need to know that Jesus understands. He was used and abused in a variety [...]

Surprising, Sweet Intimacy with Jesus

By Bill Gaultiere © 2011

One of the most touching parts of Jesus’ passion is the scene in which Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus to carry his cross. Do you and I love Jesus enough to help him carry his cross?

I’m continuing the series of Scripture reflections and prayers that go back to the ancient Stations of the Cross. This meditation will help you understand how in your life today you can help Jesus to carry his cross and be drawn into a surprising and sweet intimacy with your Lord and Savior.

What grace there is in the cross of Christ! Reflecting deeply on [...]

No Condemnation

By Bill Gaultiere © 2011

Today is Ash Wednesday which begins the period of Lent — 40 days to prepare our hearts for Easter resurrection. This holy season is helpful for all Christians to appreciate the cross of Christ and their opportunity to take up their cross and follow Christ for the joy set before them.

To help you open your heart to Christ and the abundant life that comes through his cross and resurrection I have prepared for you a series of meditations based on the ancient Stations of the Cross. Here is the first one:

No Condemnation: Jesus is Condemned by Pilate [...]

If Jesus is your Portion

By Bill Gaultiere © 2011

We say, “The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). But do we really mean it? Are we really prepared to say, “If all I have is Jesus then I have all I need to be happy”?

Praying Psalm 23 from my heart helps me to become the kind of person who lives with the satisfaction that Jesus is enough for me. I’d like to help you do that with me. I want to share with you some inspiring Psalm 23 pictures and prayers that will help you trust Jesus as your Good Shepherd in any situation.

But first let’s return [...]

Jesus embraces you!

By Bill Gaultiere © 2011

The Lord Jesus says to you: “You are my friend… I have chosen you” (John 15:14, 16).

Do you know this to be true? Does God’s love for you make you rejoice? Does it make hold your head high and serve him with confidence?

As I pray the Psalms I am continually reminded that the Lord has chosen me to be his own, that he treasures me and delights to live in me. It’s true for you too! (Psalm 135:4).

When Jesus speaks he speaks for the Trinity. Think of it, Father, Son, and Spirit treasuring you as precious. “Chosen,” [...]

In Jesus’ Shadow

By Bill Gaultiere © 2011

Do you remember when you were little and you always wanted to be with your daddy wherever he went? Or maybe it was your mom, big brother, or big sister? Toddlers are like little chicks following their mother around — they just want to be close to her all the time!

Imagine being like that with Jesus. I know you’re a big person now! but don’t think yourself so big that you can’t relate to the Lord Jesus like a little child.

Remember Jesus said with tears in his eyes as he looked at the people of Jerusalem who were too serious and [...]

Let Christ be born anew in your heart

By Bill Gaultiere © 2010

What a joy it is to hold a newborn child – a miracle of God in your arms! It’s an even greater joy to hold Christ in our hearts!

Come. Appreciate anew the precious gift of God living in you – now and forevermore. Don’t let this moment pass. I know you have so much to do. But first pause with me – let’s come adore Christ, our Savior and Lord.

My little Abiding Prayer from Psalm 118 will help you draw closer to Jesus, our Immanuel. It features four of [...]
