Mini-Retreat
"Abiding
with Jesus" is the Sunday morning sermon that Bill gave
February 25,
2007 at "The
Gathering" that meets on the campus of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden
Grove, CA. Bill's message is based on John 15 and presents the
Christian life as one of living your whole life as Jesus' apprentice.
Three expressions of discipleship are discussed: abiding in Christ for
God (worship / being "in Christ"), abiding in Christ for ourselves
(growth / Christ in me and us), and abiding in Christ for others
(service / Christ through us to others). As part of this message Bill
offered four "selah" experiences of contemplative prayer.
